Science at Cromer aims to foster an inquiring mind in all of our students and help make them scientifically literate citizens of society.
All students in Years 7 through 10 study Science. In these years, the Science course consists of units of work covering all of the major branches of Science (biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, geology, ecology).
All units of work build upon the students' prior scientific knowledge and understanding and challenges them with new ideas and ways to explain the world around them. Students are also encouraged to obtain the greatest practical experience possible through the use of experimental equipment and practical activities.
Students in Years 9 and 10 have the opportunity to choose an elective Science course- Forensic Science and engage themselves in the skills and thinking used to by law enforcement.
Senior Science in Years 11 and 12, students can choose from different science disciplines, including:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Earth and Environmental Science
- Investigating Science
- Physics.
- Science Extension
