Rules for bus travel

  • All students are to wait within the school grounds for afternoon bus services. Students will be directed onto school buses by teaching staff.
  • Students are to ensure that they travel using an appropriate bus Opal Card directly between school and home.
  • Students must “tap” their opal card on the card readers when entering & exiting the buses.
  • Students are not permitted to eat or drink whilst on buses.
  • Students need to ensure that they are well-behaved whilst travelling on buses; poor behaviour on buses may lead to the loss of Opal Card or travel privileges.
  • Students travelling on buses should display courtesy and co-operation to all passengers and drivers.
  • Students are to wait and permit adults and paying customers on to buses before they enter using school bus passes.
  • Students should not travel on local buses if an equivalent school bus covers the same route.

Bus timetable

Please plan your trip and check the route / timetable regularly as changes may occur.

Getting to and from school safely

As a parent or carer, it’s your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority.

Keep our school community safe by:

  • driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
  • being a good role model
  • never calling your child from across the road
  • using the safest place to cross the road.

Subsidised school travel

Transport for NSW provides subsidies to assist school students.

  • The School Student Transport Scheme provides eligible students with free or subsidised travel on public transport between home and school.
  • The School Drive Subsidy may help towards the costs of driving children to school if you live in an area where there is no public transport.
