Visual Arts at Cromer

Cromer Campus offers an enriching Visual arts program with the commitment to foster those students who have an eager interest and passion for Visual Art. The Visual Arts syllabus empowers students to engage in visual forms of communication and places significant value on the development of students ability to think in a critical, independent and creative way. Visual Art plays an important role in the social, cultural and spiritual lives of students.

At Cromer Campus students develop their practical art making skills in drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, photography and sculpture. Students respond to the world around them through a range of themes and learn to layer meaning and symbolism into their artworks through visual techniques. Students develop an understanding of the way historical and contemporary artists produce their artworks and develop their ability to discuss, critique, evaluate and analyse visual language.

Cromer Campus also offers an extra curricular Art Club, that runs once a week after school, during which students are able to further develop their art making skills in a specialised and supportive setting. Art Club is open to all students with a keen interest in Visual Arts.
