Dear Parents / Caregivers
In the last couple of days, you would have seen announcements from the NSW Premier and the Secretary of Education regarding the operation of NSW schools in term 2. This email is to update you on the arrangements for your children in term 2 at NBSC Cromer Campus.
A managed return of students to school in phases beginning from week 3 of term 2 (May 11) has been defined by the department of education. A document outlining those phases is attached to this email.
- THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS IN TERM 2 IS NEXT WEDNESDAY THE 29TH APRIL. An additional school development day was announced for all NSW public schools to occur on Tuesday the 28th April, supplementing the previously scheduled school development day on Monday the 27th April. This is a new announcement so please ignore any previously published term 2 start dates.
- “PHASE 0” WEDNESDAY THE 29TH APRIL - FRIDAY THE 8TH OF MAY (WEEK 1 AND 2) Remote learning for all students will continue for the first 2 weeks of term 2. Parents are encouraged to keep their children at home. Students engage in remote learning from home following their school timetable similar to the last weeks of term 1. Supervision of students for remote learning at school is only available for a small number of students who cannot be supervised at home.
- “PHASE 1” MONDAY THE 11TH MAY (WEEK3) – Details of this phase will be finalised and communicated next week.
I am conscious that circumstances may change and so we are continually updating and reviewing our procedures and communication to parents and students. All students are being sent similar information via email today. I hope you enjoy the remainder of the school holidays please stay safe and healthy.
Kind Regards
Justin Hong
