Human society and its environment

Human Society and its Environment (HSIE), is the study of both History and Geography, and are both compulsory subjects through to the end of Stage 5.

Additionally, students in Year 8 can choose the School-developed Elective MAC (Mysteries and Conspiracies), while in Stage 5 students can add Commerce, Elective Geography and Elective History to their timetable.  All HSIE subjects have a high standard of student expectation, with a focus on developing higher-order-thinking, real world understanding’s and the extension of writing skills.

Entering Stage 6, Cromer Campus students are able to extend their interests through a number of HSC (ATAR) subjects, including;

  •  Aboriginal Studies

  • Business Studies
  • Economics
  • Geography
